HOXIE – The TMP-Marian boys and girls cross
country teams both finished fifth at Thursday’s Hoxie Cross Country Invitational.
Hoxie won the girls team title with 29 points and easily outdistanced second
place Quinter by 50 points. Quinter won the boys race with 25 points, 53 less than
Oakley. Trego finished third with 82 points.

Mattias Marintzer paced the Monarch boys with an
11th place finish with a time of 18:44.27. Grace Schmeidler led the TMP girls
with a 24th place finish (25:23.70).

Ellis senior Avery Boydston won the girls race
with a time of 19:21.81. Railer freshman Taryn Boydston was second (19:38.40).
Plainville sophomore Brilynn Trumpp finished fourth (20:46.30), Trego senior
Kallan Rothchild placed eighth (21:53.84) and Golden Eagle freshman Kenadie
Rothchild came in 10th place (22:47.61).
