🥎 Monarchs cruise past Plainville/Stockton

HAYS - The TMP-Marian softball teams had their games with Plainville/Stockton moved to their home field due to playing conditions following Monday's rain and the Monarchs took full advantage of it, winning 19-6 and 17-2.

TMP has now won five of their last seven to improve to 8-6. They play a doubleheader in Great Bend Thursday.

Game 1: TMP-Marian 19, Plainville/Stockton 6
The Monarchs scored in every inning including four in the third, four in the fifth and eight in the sixth.

Jaci VonLintel tripled and drove in four. Alexa Ryersee went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Halle Dreiling and Brooke Koeninsgman both drove in two runs.

Madison Augustine (7-6)allowed two earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts and seven walks over six innings and picked up the win.

Game 2: TMP-Marian 17, Planville/Stockton 2
The Monarchs sent 15 to the plate in a 10-run first inning. The Monarchs had only two hits in the frame but took advantage of eight walks and two hit batters.

Brooke Koeningsman had two hits and drove in four. Jessica Herrman had three RBIs with Halle Dreiling and Alexa Ryersee both knocking in two runs.

Madison Augustine (8-6) allowed two unearned runs on one hit with five strikeouts and two walks.
