James was born on May 28, 1946, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Alton and Nadene Anderson.&nbsp; He enjoyed riding the Russell Public Transportation bus to run errands, watching television, playing bingo and card games.

A private burial will take place at a later date.&nbsp; Cremation has been selected.&nbsp; Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
