SHERMAN COUNTy —Streets are back open and a suspect is in custody following an overnight incident in Goodland. No injuries are reported at this time to the suspect or officers. Police released no additional details on what prompted the 'shelter in place' order or the name of the suspect and possible charges.

SHERMAN COUNTY —Police in northwest Kansas issued a shelter in place order for portions of the city of Goodland late Sunday.
According to Goodland Police, a situation occurred that required the assistance of the Kansas Highway Patrol SRT Team, according to a social media report from police.
They asked residents to stay away from the area of 4th/5th and Caldwell Streets. "Please stay in your homes and away from windows. We have the situation contained to a household; however, we ask that everyone shelter in place until the suspect is in custody." Police have Caldwell from 3rd to 5th closed, and 4th Street from Clark to Cherry closed. The scene was still active early Monday.
Police released no additional information.
