LANE COUNTY —A Kansas man died in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Monday in Lane County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Nissan Rogue driven by Clarence E. Young, 81, Lakin, was westbound on Kansas 96 at eleven miles east of Kansas 23
The SUV left the roadway to the north, struck an embankment to a field access road, went airborne, rolled and came to rest on its passenger side.
Young was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported Price and Sons Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
The Kearny County sheriff's office had issued a Silver Alert for Young earlier in the day.
