TOPEKA —&nbsp;Governor Laura Kelly announced on Friday 11 appointments to the following state council and commissions.

Kansas Council on Developmental Disabilities

Purpose:&nbsp;To advocate for systematic change to increase productivity, independence, integration, and inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in Kansas communities.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Kansas Commission on Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Purpose:&nbsp;To advocate for and facilitate equal access to quality, coordinated, and comprehensive services that enhance the quality of life for Kansans who are deaf and/or hard of hearing.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Kansas African American Affairs Commission

Purpose:&nbsp;To address the public policy concerns of the African American community through its partnerships with state agencies, corporations, and foundations, and to serve as a conduit for programs, grants, research, and policy.&nbsp;&nbsp;
