🥎Monarchs land three on the 2-1A coaches All-State team

The TMP-Marian Lady Monarchs softball team had three players named to the 2-1A State Softball Coaches team, released Tuesday.

Monarchs senior Brooke Koenigsman was a first-team selection on the infield, and junior Addison Watson was a first-team pick in the outfield.

Sophomore Brynn Rebel was a second-team selection at pitcher.

Koenigsman, who finished her career at TMP with a .558 batting average, hit safely in 95 of 105 career games. She broke or set 11 career and single-season records at TMP.

In her senior season, Koenigsman finished with a .624 batting average, 30 extra base hits, 15 doubles, eight triples and seven home runs. She drove in 64 runs for the second time in her career, scoring 61 runs. All while striking out just twice.

She finishes her career as a three-time first-team all-state selection.

Addison Watson finished her junior season with a .471 batting average. She finished with eight extra base hits, 29 RBI’s, and 28 runs scored.

This is the first all-state selection for Watson.

Rebel finished 14-1 with a 1.96 ERA in the circle. She allowed 38 runs, 19 earned, in 68 innings pitched. She struck out 82 and walked 34.

Rebel was a second-team selection as a freshman.

The Monarchs finished the season 25-3.
