🏐 Tigers earn all AVCA team Academic Award for 11th-straight year

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Fort Hays State volleyball team earned the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT, announced Monday (July 21) by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. This is the 11th consecutive year the Tigers have received the award.

Teams must maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.30 to earn the award. Fort Hays State was one of seven MIAA programs to earn the honor this season.

The 2024-25 volleyball team had 12 student-athletes listed on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. Additionally, Claire Olson and Avery Eshleman earned the MIAA Academic Excellence Award. Olson, Tallon Rentschler, and Kirsten Evans were CSC Academic All-District selections for the year.

A total of 1,450 institutions from all college levels and high school received the award this year, including 152 NCAA Division II women's programs.
