BELOIT — Fort Hays Tech | North Central continued celebrating its 60th anniversary with a special Presidents’ Day Luncheon on February 17, 2025.

The event brought together former college presidents, past and present board members to honor six decades of excellence in technical education and workforce development.

Hosted on the Beloit campus, the luncheon served as a time of reflection and celebration, highlighting the institution’s journey from its founding in 1964 as Kansas’ first technical college to its continued evolution as a leader in hands-on, career-driven education.

As part of the ceremony, the six past presidents were recognized by current President Eric Burks.

Attendees shared stories of growth, innovation, and the lasting impact Fort Hays Tech | North Central has had on students, industries, and communities across the region.

“This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, staff, students, and the many leaders who have shaped our institution over the years,” said Burks, president of Fort Hays Tech | North Central. “We are proud to celebrate our rich history while continuing to look ahead, preparing the next generation of skilled professionals.”
