David E. Bolen Sr., 69, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021. He was born April 5, 1952 to Fred and Maxine (Couse) Bolen in Salina. He graduated from Salina High School Central. David served three years in the United States Army from 1976 to 1979. He retired from USD 305 in 2013.
He always put a smile on everyone’s face with his quick comments and funny faces. David liked spending time in his garage watching car races, football and playing darts.
He is survived by his wife Marsha of Salina; son, David Bolen Jr. of Salina; daughter, Trina Bolen of Hays; step-daughter Dedra Jackson (Brad) of Salina; Papa’s grand kids, Kylie, Martika, Karleigh, Jason, Kaleigh, Jaycee, Courtnie, Lucas and Kenleigh; four great-granddaughters; and a brother Doug Bolen (Debbie) of Salina.
David was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Diana Marie and brother, Dennis.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Higher Praise Church, 1220 Greeley Ave., Salina.
