🏀 Area teams ranked in latest KBCA poll

Several area teams remained ranked in Kansas Basketball Coaches Association final regular season rankings which were released Tuesday afternoon.

The TMP-Marian boys, who have won 16-straigtht games entering their regular season finale Tuesday vs. Plainville, remained No. 2 in Class 2A. Hill City returned to the poll at No. 8. They are the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds respectively in the Ellis Sub-State.

Three girls' teams from the The Mid-Continent League are ranked again this week. Phillipsburg remained second in Class 3A. Smith Center moved up one spot to No. 4 while Hoxie held at No. 7 in Class 2A. Both are in the Ellis Sub-State which begins next week.

The Osborne girls dropped three spots to No. 5 in 1A Division I. Quinter also dropped three to No. 8. The Osborne boys held at the No. 8 spot and the Northern Valley boys held on to the No. 2 spot in 1A Division II.

Two Western Athletic conference are ranked again this week. The Liberal girls held at No. 8 in Class 6A while the Garden City boys stayed at No. 4.
