Deb Schmeidler, age 62, of Hays, Kansas, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, at HaysMed - Hays.
Deb was born March 17, 1959, in Hays, KS to Gilbert J. and Mary Ann (Pfannenstiel) Schmeidler. She was a graduate of Hays High School class of 1977. Following graduation she worked in the optical field, the last 25 years being an optician with Dr. Kendall Krug of Hays.
She enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards, bowling with friends, as well as polka and square dancing.
Survivors include her brother: Terry Schmeidler (Carla Kriley) of Walker, KS; sister: Kay (Dave) Kruse of Hays, KS; nieces and nephews: Lance Schmeidler, Lynn Baxter, Lacey White, Tyler Kruse, and Breanne Williamson; great nieces and nephews: Landon Schmeidler, Remi Schmeidler, Melanie Kruse and Levi Kruse.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 25, 2021, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Catharine, Kansas with Fr. Earl Befort Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday 5 PM - 8 PM with a combined parish vigil and rosary service at 7 PM all at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
