KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State will be the No. 8 seed for the 2024 MIAA Women's Soccer Championship Tournament, which begins on Sunday with quarterfinal matches. The top four seeds in the tournament will host quarterfinal matches before the remainder of the tournament will take place at Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kan.
The Tigers will face No. 1 seed and MIAA regular season champion Washburn in the opening round. The quarterfinal match is set for 1 p.m. in Topeka on Sunday. The Tigers won the regular season meeting between the teams 2-1 in Hays, handing the Ichabods their only loss in MIAA play this season. FHSU owns a 13-8-2 advantage in the all-time series between the schools.
The Tigers have advanced to the semifinals of the tournament each of the last two seasons and claimed their only MIAA Tournament title back in 2012.Below are the quarterfinal matchups for the tournament and the schedule for the semifinals and final match in Wichita next week.
