TMP-Marian announces 2026 'Point of Light' inductees

The Point of Light is the highest recognition given by Thomas More Prep-Marian, Hays, to honor significant individuals who have given time, talent, or resources through dedicated service to the school.

Recipients of the Point of Light award show commitment to our tradition of excellence, are involved in activities that bring honor to the inductee and to TMP-Marian, and have a heart for service. Inductees are nominated by the TMP-Marian community and voted on by a variety of individuals representing the school administration, staff, alumni, religious, and community for a diverse selection committee.

Homecoming Grand Marshals and Wanda Billinger Distinguished Alumni Award

The TMP-Marian Alumni Association is proud to announce the selection of Jim and Debbie Braun as the 2026 Homecoming Grand Marshals, recognizing a lifetime of dedication, service, and unwavering support of TMP-Marian and the Hays Community.

Fr. Gale Hammerschmidt has been selected for the 2026 Wanda Billinger Distinguished Alumni Award. Fr. Gale graduated from TMP-Marian in 1990, attended Kansas State University, and was ordained a priest in 2012. He currently serves as the pastor of St. Isidore’s Catholic Student Center at Kansas State University in Manhattan. Through his ministry, he inspires young people and lives a life that serves as the very best example of being Forever a Monarch.

Jack Schramm Spirit Award

The TMP-Marian Sports Booster Club has selected Kent and Shawnda Werth as this year's Jack Schram Spirit Award recipients. Kent and Shawnda have served on the SBC for several years, in addition to their general support of TMP-M athletics.
