Hays receives .76 inches of rain in overnight storm

Hays received .76 inches of rain overnight as reported at the K-State Ag Research Center.

Hays is still below the average rainfall for the year, receiving 2.61 inches of rain so far this month compared to an average of 3.33 inches by the end of July.

Hays receives an average of 14.68 inches of moisture per year by the end of July and has received 12.26 inches of rain to date this year.

Friday's high is forecast at 91 degrees. Hays' forecast is sunny in the low to mid-90s through Monday.

The National Weather Service forecasts 20 percent chance of thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday night. Temperatures are forecast to hit as high as 100 later in the week.
