Driver hospitalized after semi overturns in NW Kansas

THOMAS COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 8:30a.m. Thursday in Thomas County.

The Kansas Highway  Patrol reported a 2018 Peterbilt semi driven by William A. Brown, 28, Lubbock, Texas, was southbound on Kansas 25 just south of County Road D.

The semi moved to the right of its lane as another vehicle was approaching.  The semi trailer left the roadway and the vehicle traveled into the ditch.  As the driver attempted to bring vehicle  back onto the roadway the semi flipped onto its passenger side and came to rest in the west ditch.

EMS transported Brown to Citizens Medical Center.  He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
