⚾ Five-hit day for Halter carries Larks to win over Roughriders

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. - Jackson Halter had five hits and drove in four runs to lead the Hays Larks to a 16-4 win over the Colorado Roughriders Sunday evening. 

The Seminole State (Okla.) College product hit a three-run homer in the sixth and a solo homer in the eighth. 

It was two of the Larks five home runs in the game.

Dylan Dreiling and H Rosson hit back-to-back home runs to open the third inning and push the Larks lead to 5-0. Tyler LaRue added a two-run shot in the Larks six-run ninth.

LaRua also finished with four RBIs.

Dreiling and Jiminian added three hits each in the Larks 20-hit attack.

Starter Ben Baker-Livingston allowed one run on four hits over four innings. Four relievers combined to allow two earned runs over the final five innings.

The Larks are 2-1 on their Colorado road swing which continues Monday night at the Colorado Springs Outlaws.
