GARDEN CITY - Hays High girls’ golf closed out their regular season with a second-place finish at Thursday's Garden City Invitational at the Southwind Country Club. The Indians shot a 392 and finished 42 strokes behind the host Buffaloes.
Jaycee Oakley fired an 82 and led HHS with a third-place finish. Kinley Pfannenstiel placed seventh with a 99 and Ava Erbert ninth with a 102.
Oakley was named the WAC Player of the Year. Liz Dreiling finished on the All-WAC first team. Pfannenstiel, Erbert and Lily Butler were named to the second team.
