THOMAS COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 8:30a.m. Saturday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Ford F150 driven by Richard Steele Schroeder, 15, Levant, was eastbound on U.S. 24 just east of County Road 12.
The pickup traveled off the road to the south. The driver overcorrected back onto the roadway. The vehicle began to slide sideways. It slid into the north ditch, rolled and the driver was ejected.
EMS transported Schroeder Citizens Medical Center in Colby. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
