GARDEN CITY - Hays High boys golf team won the Garden City Invitational Thursday at the at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course. The Indians shot a 314 and finished six strokes better than Dodge City.
Caleb Thompson won his second straight individual title. After taking Monday's 5A State Preview in Wichita, he fired a 1-over-par 73 for a one-shot victory over Garden City's Brayden Walter. Hays High's Braiden Bickle finished sixth and Trey Oakley eighth. Both were in a group of seven golfers that had rounds of 80.
