Earl William Bartholomew

Earl William Bartholomew, 38, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Baylor, Scott and White Medical Center in College Station, Texas.

Earl was born on September 9, 1983, in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Lane T. Bartholomew, and Mary F. (Babb) Bartholomew.  He was raised in Dodge City.  After an early graduation from Dodge City High School in December of 2001, Earl enlisted into the Army on January 15, 2002.  After being stationed in Vicenza, Italy with the 173rd Airborne, he was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with duty in Iraq from March 2003 to February 2004, and finished out his service at Fort Polk, Louisiana in January 2006.  Earl went on to graduate with a dual degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas in August 2010, after which he joined the College Station Police Department.  Upon graduating from the TEEX Police Academy, he served in the Patrol and Criminal Investigation Division.  He would later serve as a reserve deputy for the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, while working towards obtaining his realtors license.  In January 2018, Earl joined the team he called “family” at the Lester Realtor Group of College Station, Texas where he continued to serve his community until his death.

Earl is survived by his father, Lane T. Bartholomew and mother, Mary F.  (Babb) Bartholomew of Dodge City.  One son, Thomas Wyatt Bartholomew and mother Renae of Mobile, Alabama; Three brothers, Robert Ridgway and wife Louise, Louisville, Kentucky, Ray Ridgway Jr. and wife Susan, Dodge City and Jeff Ridgway and wife Brandy, Hays, Kansas; sister; Peggy Falk and husband Detlaf of Germany, as well as extended family including several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be Friday, February 18, 2022, at 10:30am at the Christ United Methodist Church in College Station and a Celebration of Life will be held in Dodge City, Kansas in the near future.
