HAYS, Kan. - The Fort Hays State men's soccer team opened up a five-match homestand Saturday night with a 7-0 loss to Rogers State.

To start the match, the Tiger's had a few opportunities on goal, but could not convert. In the first half, Rogers State managed to secure a 2-0 lead with goals from George Robinson and Trindon Turner. The Fort Hays Tigers attempted to counterattack, but the Hillcats' defense held strong even against the wind.

The second half saw an even more dominant display from Rogers St. George Robinson continued his scoring spree, adding another two goals to his name. The Hillcats exhibited exceptional teamwork and precision in their attacks left the Tigers struggling to defend.

Throughout the match, both teams displayed sportsmanship and fought valiantly, even in the face of a challenging scoreline. Despite the heavy loss, Fort Hays St. showed resilience and continued to press forward, attempting to narrow the gap.

Ultimately, the final score stood at 7-0 in favor of Rogers St. With the win, Rogers State is now 8-3-2 and 5-2 in conference action. The Tigers are now 4-6-2 overall with a GAC record of 3-2-2. Fort Hays State plays their next match at home against Ouachita Baptist Thursday (Oct. 19).
