THOMAS COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Tuesday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Volvo semi driven by Raley, Steven Hull Raley, 52, Alabaaster, Alabama, was westbound on Interstate 70. sixteen miles west of Colby.
The vehicle left the roadway to the right, traveled through the KDOT fence and continued for a quarter mile.
The semi turned and came back through the KDOT fence, crossed both eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 70 and came to rest in the south ditch.
EMS transported Raley to Citizen's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
