Eleanor K. Jarrett, 85 passed away February 27, 2021 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
She was born February 6, 1936 in Sutton, NE, the daughter of Ruben and Rose Ackermann Sell. A long time area resident, she was a cook for the Hanston School district, Hanston, KS.
She was a member of the Hanston United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Hanston Senior Center, spent many years working the concession stand and was very supportive of all school organizations for the Hanston School district. She also was on an advisory board for Arrowhead West, Dodge City.
On September 22, 1960 she married Harry Robert “Bob” Jarrett in Westcliffe, CO. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1997.
Survivors include: four sons, Robert (Cindy) Jarrett Jr. Midland, TX, Mack (Malynda) Jarrett, Hutchinson, Ruben Jarrett, Hanston, Larry (Shelly) Jarrett, Wichita; daughter, Elizabeth (Jim) Lawlor, Ness City; twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Kathy Rose Jarrett, Norma Jean Jarrett; brother, Lavern Sell and a sister, Donna Rolo.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Hanston United Methodist Church with Pastor Peter Mtuamwari presiding. Service will be viewable via Facebook live at www.facebook.com/beckwithmortuary. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 in the Sutton Cemetery, Sutton, NE.
