Delia Dixon, Mariella Dreiling, and Emersyn Sander of Hays High School were named Kansas Governor’s Scholars. 

At the invitation of Governor Laura Kelly, 527 Kansas high school seniors were selected to attend the 43rd Annual Governor’s Scholars Award Program on May 3, 2026, in Topeka.

The Kansas Governor’s Scholars Program honors the top academic 1% of high school seniors from accredited public and private schools in the state. Students selected for this prestigious recognition have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership and dedication throughout their high school careers.
