A recent educational tour, organized by the Ellis County Farm Bureau Association in celebration of National FFA Week, aimed to provide local FFA students with a hands-on learning experience in the agricultural industry.
Twenty-two FFA students had the opportunity to explore the innovative world of hydroponic farming during their visit to 4-B Hydroponic Greenhouse in Grinnell, Kansas. Witnessing firsthand how crops thrive without soil through nutrient-rich water solutions was truly an eye-opening experience for the participants.
Following their greenhouse tour, students traveled to Quinter, Kansas, where they engaged in an insightful tour by Premier Tillage. They learned about how cutting-edge tillage equipment is created on site at the facility and how it that play a crucial role in modern agricultural practices.
In addition to the tours, students were treated to a lunch at the Center Pivot in Quinter courtesy of the Ellis County Farm Bureau Association.
The Ellis County Farm Bureau Association continues to inspire and educate our youth about the importance of agriculture and nurture the next generation of agricultural enthusiasts.
