Hays High had five boys and two girls named to the All-Western Athletic Conference wrestling team announced Wednesday.
5A state champion Gavin Meyers (220) and Gavin Nutting (285) were named to the first team. Sophomores Elijah McCullough (106), Tacoma Augustine (113) and Harley Zimmerman (132) were named to the second team.
Meyers finished out his senior season with a perfect record and collected his first career state championship. Zimmerman finished state runner-up at 132 and had a 44-4 record this past season.
State runner-up Sarah Zimmerman (109) was named to the girls first team and Addison Otte (120) on the second team.
