Ronald L. Goetz age 90, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas. He was born May 18, 1935, at Victoria, Kansas to Simon and Ida (Ubert) Goetz.
Ronald was a farmer and worked on the family farm for over 40 years. He grew up on the family farm west of Victoria, and was a 1953, graduate of Victoria High School. He served his country for six years in the United States Army, and National Guard. Following his service, Ronald moved to Nashua, NH where he lived and worked for fifteen years. He returned home to Victoria in 1975, and retired in 2015, then moved to Via Christi Assisting Living in Hays.
He was a member of The Basilica of Saint Fidelis, and was very active in the Victoria Knights of Columbus.
Ronald is survived by his brother, Frank Goetz and Cam Mahaffey, Denver, CO; his sister, Sharon Merrick, Ovideo, FL; his brother-in-law, Ivan Werner, Leawood, KS; and many nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Ida Goetz; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma Meyers and Bill; Norma Huffman and Richard; Berniece Bushman and Dennis; his sister, Verda Werner; and his brother-in-law, Frank Merrick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, 900 Cathedral Ave, Victoria, Kansas with Celebrant, Father Vincent Mary Carrasco O.F.M. Cap. Inurnment will follow in Saint Fidelis Cemetery Victoria, Kansas with Military Honors By The Victoria V.F.W. Post #1751.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 to10:00 A.M. Saturday, at The Basilica of Saint Fidelis with a Victoria Knights of Columbus Rosary at 9:15 A.M.
