DODGE CITY – The Hays High girls’ golf team finished second at Thursday’s Dodge City Invitational at Mariah Hill Golf Course. The Indians shot a 340 which was 26 shots behind first place Kapaun Mt. Carmel.
The Indians played two in the top-10 led by Katie Dinkel who finished fifth with a 5-over-par 78. Abbie Norris fired an 84 and finished ninth.
The top three placers were all under par led by Kapaun’s Meg Tilma who shot a 6-under-par 67. Wichita Collegiate’s Margaret Ulrich shot a 70 and Kinslea Jones of Maize fired a 71. All three are sophomores.
