JoAnn A. (Lamont) Caldwell, 70, passed away in Wichita, KS on Jan. 
29, 2021. Born on Jan. 5th, 1951 in Smith Center, KS she was the 
daughter of Cecil and Carmen (Waters) Lamont. JoAnn grew up on a farm in
 Kensington, KS later graduating from HS in 1969. She later graduated 
from Cloud Co. College in Concordia, KS with a BS in Nursing. Mrs. 
Caldwell went on to work 40 years as a nurse and caregiver in 
Phillipsburg, Smith Center, &amp; Hays. She married Curtis Caldwell on 
Aug. 24th, 1978 in Kensington, KS.&nbsp;

Survivors include daughters, Samantha Diaz, Great Bend, KS, Heidi 
Freeman (Chester), Ellinwood, KS, Mackenzie Flinn (Stan), Hays, KS; 
brothers, Dennis Lamont (Elaine) and Steven Lamont (Deb); sisters, 
Connie Pennington (Robert) and Mary Smith. Other survivors include 9 
grandchildren, 2&nbsp;great-grandchildren, and 3 step-grandchildren. JoAnn 
was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Caldwell, her parents, and 
niece.&nbsp;

Funeral service will be 3 PM, Fri., Feb. 5th&nbsp;at Minnis Chapel in 
Ellinwood, KS. Interment will take place in Cedar, KS at a later date. 
Visitation with family present will be Thurs., Feb. 4th&nbsp;from 3-5 PM at 
Minnis Chapel. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society in 
care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.&nbsp; &nbsp;
