Fort Hays State has landed another quarterback for the upcoming 2026 season. Reigning MIAA Offensive Player of the Year Jackson Berry will be transferring from conference rival Pittsburg State after entering the transfer portal in January.
The Prosper, Texas native who spent four seasons at Division I Southern Utah before transferring to Pitt State, passed for 2,711 yards with 16 touchdowns and five interceptions. He rushed for 231 yards and three scores.
Berry the second Division I signal caller to transfer to FHSU, joining Major Cantrell who spent two seasons as a backup at Iowa State.
