SHERMAN COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 3:30a.m. Friday in Sherman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by Figueroa, Alejandro Aurelio Figueroa, 36, Casa Grande, AZ, was eastbound on Interstate 70 approximately miles west of Goodland.
The SUV traveled into the median, hit a culvert, overturned and came to rest in the westbound lanes.
EMS transported a passenger Carmen E. Hogan, 41, Casa Grande, AZ., to the hospital in Goodland. Figueroa was not injured. Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
