It's a month a wide-ranging sports events as school starts and the warm weather sticks around for awhile.
More than 180 people are expected to turn ut for the 37th annual PDGA Frontier Open Disc Golf tourney the weekend of Sept. 11, while the Fort Hays State University Tiger football team opens its season at home Thursay evening at 7 p.m.
RMP Speedway will host IMCA Championship Night Sept. 18 and Fall National Practice Sept. 30.
For those wanting to enjoy indoor activities, the Hays Symphony Opening Gala Concert is Sept. 25.
