GOVE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 5p.m. Thursday in Gove County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Toyota Tacoma driven by Steven Alwyn Williams, 21, Olathe, was northbound in the 1600 block of County Road 58 thirteen miles south of Interstate 70.
The pickup left the roadway to the right. The driver overcorrected to the left, overcorrected again to the right and the vehicle entered the east ditch. The pickup traveled 100 feet into the ditch and the driver attempted to correct back to the road. The pickup rolled and came to rest in the west ditch. The driver was ejected and was found in the east ditch.
EMS transported Williams to Wesley Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
