The Indians defeated the Monarchs in the third-place game of the 2023 2A state tournament in Manhattan. They also defeated TMP in the 2-1A state baseball tournament semifinals last May.
The winner will get either the top-seed Sterling or the No. 16 seed Phillipsburg.
In sub-state No. 2, Syracuse is the second seed, taking on 15-seed Hill City.
The winner will take on either the seven-seed Ellinwood or the 10-seed Trego.
Plainville is the No. 3 seed. They will host 14-seed Smith Center, and the winner will receive the winner of six-seed Hoxie and 11-seed Oakley.
The high seed hosts the first two rounds, and the sub-state championship games are played on Friday, March 7, in Sublette.
