The Hays school board will hear updates on state accreditation requirements and the school redesign project at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Rockwell Administration Center.

USD 489 has chosen to focus on strengthening relationships with students and families and increasing student engagement academically and personally in its accreditation process.

Lincoln Elementary School in Hays is to be one of the schools that will be part of the&nbsp;Apollo II state school redesign project.

<a href="https://hayspost.com/posts/4e3a921f-1789-4853-8415-8ac8388e61ea">Hays USD 489 Superintendent Ron Wilson said when the project was announced the 2020-21 school year will be used for planning changes that will be most beneficial to serving students.</a>

The board will also will hear reports from O'Loughlin Elementary School and the USD 489 Health and Wellness Committee.
