MCPHERSON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 8p.m. Saturday in McPherson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Honda Pilot driven by Nathan E. Paine, 35, McPherson, was northbound on Interstate 35 approximately two miles south of Cherokee Road.
The SUV passed a 2024 Kenworth semi driven by Scott A. Engel, 50, Hays, and began braking. The vehicle entered right lane and the semi struck the Honda.
After impact the Honda entered the median and came to a rest in the southbound lane of travel.
EMS transported Paine to the hospital in McPherson. Engel was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
