GREAT BEND - Hays High opened their cross country season with an early in the day meet in Great Bend due to the forecasted heat.
The Hays girls finished in seventh as a team. Bishop Carroll took the team title with a score of 53.
Audrey Yarmer paced the Hays team with a sixth place finish at 19:53.70.
