More than 3,000 Midwest Energy customers were without power late Tuesday afternoon in a short-lived outage for most.
The outage occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m., according to the company's online outage viewer. By by 5 p.m., the lights started coming back on for customers after Midwest crews worked the issue.
Company spokesman Mike Morley said a feeder line to a substation experienced issues, which took down about 3,500 meters in Hays, Munjor and Ellis for about 30 minutes. Power was re-routed and, as of 5:01 p.m., power was restored to customers.
