Due to the city of Hays' observation of Thanksgiving Day on Thursday and Friday, refuse/recycling collection schedules will be altered as follows:
There are no expected changes to Monday’s collection route.
* Tuesday and Wednesday collection routes will be picked up on Tuesday.
* Thursday and Friday collection routes will be picked up on Wednesday.
It is anticipated that heavy volumes of refuse/recyclable will be encountered around the holidays. Be sure to set your bags out by 7 a.m. on the collection day and keep in mind that the trucks have no set time schedule.
