๐Ÿ€ Tiger women blow past Bearcats

HAYS - The Fort Hays State women's basketball team scored the first 11 points and never led by less than five and cruised to a 74-49 win over Northwest Missouri State Thursday at Gross Coliseum.

After the Bearcats scored six straight to pull within 11-6, the Tigers scored nine straight to to push the lead to 16.

FHSU (6-2, 6-2 MIAA) scored the last seven points of the second quarter capped by a Jaden Hobbs 3-poitner at the horn. The scored the first six points of the third quarter and led by as many as 34 in the second half.

Whitney Randall opened the scoring with a 3-pointer from the top of the key just 10 seconds into the contest. The senior went on to lead the team with 18 points and 10 rebounds for her second career double-double. The Alva, Okla. native hit 4-of-7 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line.

Jaden Hobbs hit her first five threes and finished with 17 points. Olivia Hollenbeck added 12.

Mia Stillman led the Bearcats (3-4, 3-4 MIAA) with 10 pionts off the bench.

Fort Hays State is back at home Saturday afternoon against Missouri Western State at 2:00 pm.
