
Terry Lee Spresser, 53, passed away on Wednesday December 30, 2020 in
Midland, Texas. Terry was born on January 7, 1967 in Hoxie, KS to
Harold and Maryln (Rueschhoff) Spresser. In 1969 after his mother passed
away, he lived with his Uncle Gene and Aunt Margie for 8 months in
Florida. Terry’s dad Harry later married Naydene Josephine (Munk) who
became Terry’s beloved mother. Terry attended Hoxie Grade School and
Hoxie High School graduating with the class of 1985.
After graduating from High School, Terry attended Garden City
Community College majoring in Criminal Justice. From there he went to
Pittsburg, KS and was a police officer. While living in Pittsburg, KS
Terry met the love of his life, Rebecca Lynn (Harms). They were married
in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg, KS on September
18, 1993.
Terry & Rebecca moved to Colorado Springs in 1994 where he
attended Denver Technical College majoring in CAD. For the past several
years he had been working in Midland, Texas as a Facilities Technician
for Callon Petroleum. Prior to that Terry worked at Siemens Water
Technologies of Colorado Springs, CO, Hettinger Mayo and Halker
Consulting, of Denver, CO and Midland, TX.
Terry adored his family, was a patriotic man and enjoyed hunting. He
loved following University of Michigan sports and the Denver Broncos.
He had a quiet success, doing his thing without making a fuss. He had a
life-long expressive humor that drew you to him. Terry left us much
too soon but left us with incredible memories that will forever warm our
hearts.
Terry is survived and forever cherished by his wife Rebecca and
their children all of Colorado Springs, CO. Terry was beyond proud of
his children and loved to talk about them. Wyatt James, son, is
currently in Dental School at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.
Jordyn Paige (Cameron), daughter, will graduate from University of
Colorado at Colorado Springs in May 2021, with a Bachelor of Education.
Weston Everett, son, is in his first year of college in Colorado
Springs, majoring in Business/Finance.
Terry is also survived by his dad, Harold (Harry) Spresser of Hoxie,
KS, brothers Larry Spresser (Julia) of Pittsburg, KS, Jerry Spresser of
Hoxie, KS, Kyle Spresser of Hoxie, KS, Mike Waggener and David Waggener
of Hoxie, KS, brother-in-law, Walt Woofter of Overland Park, KS,
sisters DeeAnn (Ray) Schamberger, Sheri (Brian) Baalman, Danette (Steve)
Newell, Sharon (Ron) Schamberger, Diahn (Don) Moss all of Hoxie and
Darla (Robert) Peanasky of Plover, WI and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mothers, Maryln Spressser and
Naydene Spresser, sister Donna Jo Woofter and sister-in-law, Pam
Waggener.
A Celebration of Life Service is planned for Saturday, January 30,
2021 , 10:30 A.M. at the Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie, KS.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. to
6:00 P.M. with family receiving friends from 4:30 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
