SMITH COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 5:30a.m. Monday in Smith County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Ford Fiesta driven by Miranda Stovall, 49, Scandia, was northbound on U.S. 281 nine miles north of U.S. 36.
The car struck car deer in the road. EMS transported Stovall to the Smith County Hospital. She was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
