The third-ranked Fort Hays State women's basketball team wraps up a stretch of four games in six days this week with a pair of games against RMAC programs. The Thanksgiving week trip to Denver opens against the University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Tuesday (5 p.m./4 p.m. MT) before wrapping up against host MSU Denver on Wednesday (4 p.m./3p.m. MT).

The Tigers are off to a 4-0 start to the season, while the Mountain Lions, who were receiving votes in the most recent WBCA DII Coaches Poll, are 1-2 on the year and the Roadrunners are 0-4 so far this season.

Fort Hays State has played with a lead for much of the season, with the Tigers trailing for all of 28 seconds across four games. Their largest deficit has been just one point.

The Tigers are 16-0 in November and 4-0 in Colorado under head coach Talia Kahrs.

FHSU ranks first in the country with 23.5 assists per game while ranking fourth in field goal percentage (51.0 percent), fifth in 3-point percentage (41.0 percent) and seventh in assist/turnover ratio (1.32).

Brooke Loewe broke the school record with 14 assists against William Jewell on Saturday, the most in a game by a DII player this season. It was her second game with at least 10 assists this season and the eighth-such performance of her career. She is nearly averaging a double-double with 10.0 points and 9.8 assists per game.

Now with 427 assists in 96 career games, Loewe needs four assists to tie Jaden Hobbs for second-most in program history and is just 51 shy of Maisha Prewitt's all-time record of 478. Loewe's 9.8 assists per game are the most across all NCAA Divisions. The top DI athlete is Kentucky's Tonie Morgan who averages 8.9 assists per contest, while the second-best average in DII is 7.8 per game.

Talexa Weeter leads the MIAA and ranks fifth in the country with a team-high 26.8 points per game this season. The junior has scored 25-plus in three of the four games while also leading the team with 8.3 rebounds per night.

Colorado native Olivia Mortensen leads the team with a shooting percentage of 55.6 percent which is third-best in the MIAA. The freshman is averaging 15.0 points per game so far this year, giving the Tigers a trio of players who average in double figures in scoring.
