First Call for Help
First Call for Help of Ellis County is hosting its 30th year of Backpacks for Kids.
It will be held at the Hays Recreation Commission, 1105 Canterbury, on the west side of the building in the Leisure Center.
All families that are pre-registered are able to come pick up their bags and supplies on Thursday, August 6 anytime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
If you have a child residing and attending a school within Ellis County and you need some assistance for them and you did NOT pre-register, you can head down to the Hays Rec on Friday, August 7 anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 1 p.m.
First Call for Help wants to thank the United Way of Ellis County, Joe Bob Outfitters, and the Hays Rec for supporting this event. They also want to thank the many businesses, churches, and individuals that donated supplies, money, and their time to make this event a success.
They are excited to see all the kids coming through in preparation of the upcoming school year!
