
Clayton Wayne Seaman, 61, of Natoma, Kansas, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas.
Clayton was born February 14, 1964 at the hospital in Osborne, Kansas. He was one of two children born to Clayton William “Bill” and Nyla May (Kreft) Seaman. He grew up in Natoma and was a Natoma High School graduate of 1982. He then attended Ft. Hays State University where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture.
Clayton worked for the Kansas State University Agricultural Research Center in Hays, Kansas, spending most of his years working with wheat until his retirement. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where he served as the Secretary and the Treasurer. He was also a long-time member of the Natoma Lions Club. He enjoyed watching movies, especially Star Wars movies, and spending time with his nieces and nephew and later in life, his great nieces and great nephews.
Surviving family include his parents, Bill and Nyla Seaman of Natoma, Kansas; sister, Patty Eickhoff and husband Dale of Natoma, Kansas; and two nieces, one nephew, four great nieces and three great nephews.
Clayton was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Gordon and Ellen Seaman; his maternal grandparents Erwin and Lorene Kreft; and a great-nephew, Darrian Shifflett.
Celebration of Clayton’s life will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Natoma. The family will be present to greet friends the morning of the service at 9:30 AM.
Burial will follow at the North Lutheran Cemetery in rural Natoma. A Memorial has been established with Peace Lutheran Church. Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
