SCOTT COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 3:30a.m. Monday in Scott County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a Kia 4-door passenger vehicle driven by Phillip Brandon Kemp, 34, Garden City, was eastbound on Kansas 96.
As the vehicle arrived in Scott City, it traveled off the road to the right at Jackson and 5th Street, struck a light pole and rolled onto its top side.
EMS transported Kemp and a passenger Kemp, and a passenger Latraiz Spencer Kemp, 27, Overland Park, to the Scott County Hospital. Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
