Jeffrey Thomas Minnick was born March 11, 1972 in Lincoln, NE to Thomas
Frederick and Cynthia (Baker) Minnick. He passed away August 24, 2020 at
his home in Houston, TX at the age of 48.
Jeff graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1990. After he
graduated, he moved to Colorado where he loved to hike mountain trails
and snow skiing. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially the NFL and
UFC and he enjoyed going to boxing matches. Jeff also loved traveling
and seeing new places. When his son, Sam, was younger he enjoyed
watching him compete in motocross. Most recently, Jeff was working for
an energy, oil and mineral company, Targa, where he had moved up to a
supervisor position. His employers thought a lot of him and had become
very fond of his work ethic and dependibiltiy.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Minnick in 1992;
brother, Bryan Minnick in 1992 and stepfather, Scott Dolan in 2010. He
is survived by his sons, Samuel Minnick of Dana Point, CA and Silas
Minnick of San Leon, TX; mother, Cyndy Dolan of Oberlin, KS; brother,
Nathan (Karlie) Minnick of Oberlin; sister, Nicole (Justin) Sauvage of
Oberlin and nieces and newphews: Kariah, Gage, and Brylee Minnick,
Breckin, Talan, and Josie Sauvage.
