RUSSEL COUNTY —There were no injuries from a fire at motel Thursday morning in Russell.
Crews responded just before 8a.m. to The Lodge, 901 S. Fossil, and were able to bring the fire under control around 8:30a.m., according to Fire Chief Dylan Riedel.
Crews contained the fire to the first floor laundry room. A room on the second floor had some some damage. The fire started in a laundry room dryer, according to Riedel. The estimated loss of the dryer is $4,000 while structural damage at the motel is estimated at $6,000, according to the city of Russell.

RUSSELL COUNTY —Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire early Thursday at a motel in Russell, according to the city.
Just before 8 a.m., crews responded to The Lodge, 901 S. Fossil, and were able to bring the fire under control just before 8:30 a.m.
