🏈Phil Conyac removed as Stockton High School Football Coach

At a special meeting of the Stockton Unified School District No. 271 Board of Education, held on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020, after six executive sessions for the purpose of discussing personnel matters relating to supplemental staff were held and the board was back in open session, a motion was made by vice president Stephanie Niblock to remove Phil Conyac as head football coach effective immediately and to put Justin Basart as interim head high school football coach and Clint Bedore as interim assistant high school football coach, effective immediately.

The motion was seconded by LeAnn Dix. The motion carried yes 6, (Stephanie Niblock, Aftan Tso, LeAnn Dix, Jesse Stithem, Daphne Plumer and Mark Billinger) no 0, and absent 1 (Linda Conyac).

Those in attendance for the executive sessions were the six board members, Bill Lowry and Gary McCown.

Present for the meeting were board members Stephanie Niblock, Aftan Tso, LeAnn Dix, Jesse Stithem, Daphne Plumer and Mark Billinger as well as superintendent Bill Lowry (via zoom), high school principal Gary McCown and grade school principal Stacey Green.

Board member Linda Conyac was absent from the meeting.
